We are currently seeking pipe welders to join our team! 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Weld stainless pipe and sanitary tubing for process and utility piping systems.
  • Inspect welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Brazing
  • Welding and polishing of round and square SS tubing.
  • Assist foremen and pipefitters/welders as needed in layout, installation, etc.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to process and production equipment.
  • Perform planned maintenance, inspection and installation on process and production equipment.
  • Follow job site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards to protect self and others.

What You Will Bring: 

  • Must be able to certify in TIG welding.
  • OSHA 10/30 Certified (preferred)
  • Purge welding sanitary tubing.
  • Ability to perform sanitary welding on stainless steel piping and fittings.
  • Using facing tools, Fischer saws, and other process related tools
  • General knowledge of piping layout and routing
  • Knowledge of general piping systems
  • Combination fitter/welder is a plus.
  • Willingness to be trained and certified in orbital welding.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Candidates must have transportation. 
  • Good communication skills
  • Be willing to work within a 50-mile radius. Willingness to travel to other states for work is a plus!
  • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.

Abilities: 

  • Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities.
  • Physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50lbs., seeing and reading.

EGC is a merit shop contractor supporting a Team working environment. All Team members will be required from time to time to perform other duties they are qualified to perform, outside of this job description and their normal work function.
