EGC Construction is looking for both experienced professionals and individuals who are looking to begin their construction career to join our team!

EGC employs more than 120 skilled craft workers that focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. We offer general, commercial and industrial construction including: civil work, electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters, process piping, rigging and structural steel work.

Headquartered in Newport, Kentucky and servicing local, regional, and international clients since 1978. EGC is committed to safety and the continuous improvement of our safety systems. We have received national safety awards as a result of our performance.

We are currently seeking Millwrights with commercial construction experience to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this position are listed below:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Layout of equipment
  • Read prints.
  • Light rigging of equipment
  • Operate a fork truck and scissor lift.
  • Connect and bolt-up of structural steel.
  • Ability to use optical alignment equipment (not required, but a plus)
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety rules and regulations associated with the industrial steel industry.
  • Using required tools to perform daily tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically inclined is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 Certified
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills.
  • Be willing to work within a 50-mile radius - Ability to travel is a plus.
  • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.

Abilities:

  • Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities.
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., seeing and reading.
